MOSCOW - A coffin maker almost laid his penis to rest for good after his trousers got caught in his circular saw. The mangled appendage was sawed into six pieces and the agonized man was rushed to a special clinic that only treats injuries to the male genitals. The Emergency Care for Men was established at a Moscow hospital in 1999. Professor Pyotr Shcheplev set up the department to develop the field of andrology, which focuses on the study of the male genitals. Dr. Shcheplev summed up his mission by stating, "If a penis has some defect, it is a big psychological blow. It's a man's dignity."
